How to Use the Headset on the Steam Platform?
Setting up a headset can be challenging on Steam if it is your first experience. Although Steam has a self-explanatory GUI, some gamers may still need assistance. Let's talk about how you can set up the EKSA headset for your next gaming session via Steam.
Here is a step-by-step process to help you set up your EKSA headset with the Steam gaming platform:
1. Firstly, you need to check there are no other external audio devices connected to your computer. If there are any, you should remove them before moving to the next step.
2. After you check for the external audio devices connected to your computer, the next step is to connect the EKSA headset's USB interface or USB dongle to the computer's USB port. Ensure you correctly insert the headset's USB dongle or the interface into the computer. If you are using a Bluetooth headset, then choose the Bluetooth function to connect the Bluetooth headset to the computer. (You can refer to the specific model of the headset instruction manual for the complete process)
3. Once you successfully connect the USB ports of your EKSA headsets to the computer's port, you need to open up Steam and choose a game.
We will select the DOTA2 as an example to demonstrate the typical process of using the headset.
3.1 - Open the Steam platform, and you'll see different options, you need to select the “library” option and enter the DOTA2 startup interface. After doing that, you need to start the DOTA2 game.
3.2 - After you enter the DOTA2 game interface, you need to click on the setting option on the top of the left-hand side of your screen. Once you click on the settings options, you will enter the settings interface.
3.3 And the next step is you need to look for the “Audio” option and click on it to enter the Audio interface.
3.4 Next, you need to select the “Sound Device” option and choose it as an EKSA device.
3.5 Once you choose the sound device option, you must look for the “Voice” option. There will be a “Steam voice settings” under the Voice option that you need to select to enter the settings interface.
3.6 Next, you need to look for the “IN-GAME VOICE” option and select it. Under that, you will see the “Recording (audio input) device” option. You need to choose the EKSA device in that option.
4. Once you complete all these steps, you can enjoy using your gaming EKSA headsets with the Steam platform. The audio setting of the headset is completed, and the sound can be transmitted from the headset, giving you an immersive and interactive gaming experience.
